Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.   The spiritual and operational leadership of the Church shall be vested in the Board of Elders. The Board consists of the Senior Pastor and four to six other men selected by the Membership. Leadership functions of the Elders shall include devotion to prayer, the teaching of God’s Word, shepherding of God’s flock, and oversight of the ministry of the Church. Members of the Elder Board are male Members of the Church who have demonstrated the characteristics outlined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and I Peter 5:1-3.

Statement of Faith:

The basic beliefs that bind us together in a common faith and unite us as a local expression of the body of Christ are:
  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life (II Timothy 3:16- 17; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12-13).
  • We believe in One Triune God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three co-equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 3:16-17 & 28:19; John 1:1-2, 14 & 10:30).
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures, arose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven where He is our High Priest and Advocate (Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 7:25 & 9:24; John 1:1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35; Romans 8:34; I John 2:1-2; Romans 3:24- 25; I Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5).
  • We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and during this age to convict mankind, and regenerate sinners by faith in Christ. Regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit by which the believer receives a new nature from God. He will indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly life and service (John 16:8-11; II Corinthians 3:6; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13-14; John 16:13; I John 2:20, 27; Ephesians 5:18).
  • We believe that man (male & female) was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through being born again by the Spirit of God can salvation and true spiritual life be obtained (Genesis 1:26- 27; Romans 3:22-23 & 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12).
  • We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only basis for justification and salvation for all who repent, believe, and receive Jesus Christ. Being born of the Holy Spirit, they thus become the children of God (Ephesians 2:8-10; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:18-19).
  • We believe the ordinances for the Believer are water baptism and the Lord’s Supper to be observed by the Church during the present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means of salvation (Acts 2:41; 8:12; 9:18; 10:47- 48; Romans 6:3-6).
  • We believe that the true Church is composed of all those who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been born again by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is Head (Ephesians 1:22-23 & 5:25-27; I Corinthians 12:12, 14; II Corinthians 11:2).
  • We believe that only those members of the true Church are eligible for membership in the local Church family (Acts 14:27 & 20:17; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11).
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local church body has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs (Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18).
  • We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this expectancy should have a vital impact on the personal life and service of the believer (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16; I Thessalonians 1:10 & 5-9; Revelation 3:10).
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead: The believer to fully realizing all that God has promised in Christ and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment (John 5:28-29 & 11:25-26; Revelation 20:4- 6; Philippians 3:21; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Luke 16:19-26; II Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:11-15).
  • We believe that the family is God ordained and is vital to the framework of society: That God’s design for marriage is for a man and a woman to be united in a perpetual monogamous relationship. We also recognize the uniqueness of being single. The practice of extramarital sex, adultery or homosexuality is inconsistent with Biblical teaching (Genesis 1:26-31 & 2:4-25; Ephesians 6:1-4; Romans 1:24-27; Ephesians 5:3-5; Colossians 3:5-6).
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life (including the unborn, the handicapped and the elderly): That human life from conception is of great value to God (Psalm 8:5-7; Psalm 139:13-18; Psalm 22:9-10; Galatians 1:15).
  • We believe the Church is commanded to be a relevant witness of Jesus Christ within society and the culture of the day (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; John 20:21; Romans 10:13-15; II Corinthians 5:19-20; Acts 1:8).
